MLB dedicates Game 1 of World Series to veterans

Major League Baseball dedicated Game 1 of the 2014 World Series in honor of veterans and military families. The tribute highlighted baseball's support of the Welcome Back Veterans initiative. As part of the dedication, representatives from Major League Baseball and the Kansas City Royals visited veterans at a local VA Hospital. There was also a special on-field, pre-game ceremony and other activities at the ballpark. More »
