Military Families

Post Traumatic Stress disorder is a chronic condition that does not get better without treatment. If you are not sure about the symptoms, get a consult from a qualified health care practitioner.

According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, experts believe PTSD occurs in:

  • 11-20% of Veterans that served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom
  • 10% of Desert Storm Veterans
  • 30% of Vietnam Veterans

Military spouses and children often experience feelings of isolation and lack support when their spouse is battling symptoms of PTSD. Please check resources to see what services are available for military families.
